Katie Dwyer RN, MSN, PNP-PC

Katie recently joined our team at Orange Pediatrics in February, 2023. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2014 from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.

For the next 6 years, Katie worked in the level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. There, she cared for preterm infant's as young as 23 weeks gestation and babies with many chronic medical conditions. She enjoyed this fast paced, and intense setting in the NICU.

While working in the NICU, Katie began her graduate degree in pediatrics at Stony Brook University on Long Island.  In 2019, she received her MSN degree and became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She began her career as a nurse practitioner in the NICU at Vassar Brother’s Medical Center. Katie continues to work in the NICU taking care of preterm and acutely ill infants in the NICU. While she loves working with the preterm infant's in the NICU, Katie realized she would also love to take care of the children in her community and decided to take a part-time position at Orange Pediatrics.

Katie resides in Goshen with her husband, three dogs and chickens! She loves the outdoors, hiking, and snowshoeing in the winter. She loves animals and volunteers for a local dog rescue in her free time.
